Charlotte earned a Master Degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam before starting her career in the global film industry working for Intermedia Films and Summit Entertainment in London.

While living in South Africa, she combined working as consultant for the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg with an MBA from Duke University in the US. Charlotte returned to London and subsequently worked as VP International Sales at Hanway Films, Head of Sales at start-up Protagonist Pictures, and ran the Sales and Marketing team at Entertainment One Features. She took part in Inside Pictures in the UK.

After returning to the Netherlands, she worked as consultant for the Netherlands Film Fund before returning to Film and TV Distribution as President of Sales for Global Road and later Anton Capital and Director at ITVGE. She has been an advisor on various Telescoop committees for the Netherlands Film Fund and became the Managing Director at Lemming Film in December 2023.
