Shooting third feature Sam de Jong Met Mes started
Last week the shooting of feature film Met Mes started, a new film by director Sam de Jong who is back on Dutch soil after his debut Prince and the American-made Goldie. In Met Mes Hadewych Minis (Borgman, Blood Sweat & Tears), Shahine El-Hamus (De Belofte van Pisa), Gijs Naber (Redbad, Judas) and Oussama Ahammoud (De Libi, Mocro Mafia) play the lead role. Met Mes is expected to hit theaters early 2021.
When a successful TV personality is robbed of her new video camera, she exaggerates the story to get the most out of her insurance. However, when a young suspect unexpectedly gets arrested, this trivial lie ignites a chain reaction of unforeseen consequences that will know only losers in the end.
After Prince and Goldie, who both screened at the Berlinale, Met Mes is Sam de Jong's third feature film. Met Mes is both a satire about the media and a tragedy about human nature.
Met Mes is produced by Erik Glijnis and Leontine Petit from Lemming Film. The NTR is involved as broadcaster. Distributor Gusto Entertainment releases the film.
